About Artist

Brushstrokes of Empowerment is the
autobiography of Peter Jeke, a self-taught artist from Harare born in 1981, who found purpose in portraying the strength and beauty of women through art. Inspired by their resilience, Peter used various media
to tell their stories—mothers, daughters, Survivors—across urban and rural settings.
His work challenges societal norms,
fosters dialogue on gender equality, and celebrates inner beauty beyond social standards. From humble beginnings to international exhibitions, Peter's art became a voice for the unheard. His legacy is one of inspiration, using creativity to empower women and bridge cultural
divides through compassion and
understanding.
